One reason I admire Manny Pacquiao: He prays every time he gets in the ring to fight. It’s probably the most significant thing I wait for each time I watch one of his fights. We always knows he’s going to his corner to pray. Maybe we can only guess what he’s praying for. Most likely it’s strength. Not the strength to beat the crap out of the poor fool he’s fighting. It’s probably the strength to not give up, to persevere. He probably prays for safety. Maybe he prays that he’s on top of his game so he won’t get hurt. Whatever he prays for, he thanks Him for whatever happens. He has never been seriously hurt in a fight. His faith in Him helps him keep going. It’s relatable. We all pray for the strength to go on, to not give up, that it won’t be the last “fight.” And when you’re strong in your faith, it pays off. You WILL reach success.
